Στα τρία φορτηγάκια που εξετάστηκαν βρέθηκε βενζίνη, αλλά δεν εντοπίστηκαν αυτοσχέδιοι εκρηκτικοί μηχανισμοί.

One of the five men arrested near RAF Fairford early on Sunday had called police himself at 00:45 BST, nearly an hour before a local farmer dialled 999 after seeing balaclava-clad men and blocked roads by three vans, the BBC understands. Counter-terrorism officers found petrol but no explosive devices; the suspects remain on bail under strict conditions, with cordons expected to lift fully on Wednesday after residents of the 85 evacuated homes were allowed back.

HMS Daring bunkered fuel in Portsmouth for the first time in years after a long Power Improvement Project refit, with the ship’s company hearing the fuelling pipe that had been absent while she spent roughly 3,470 days alongside since leaving service in April 2017. Twenty-seven commandos from M Company, 42 Commando, and specialists from 148 Battery trained with US Navy SEALs in Virginia and North Carolina, calling in F-18 Super Hornet strikes against area-denial systems on the Navy Dare Bombing Range as part of suppression of enemy air defences certification. The Royal Navy said the work leaves 148 Battery fully certified for very high readiness multi-domain fires, while M Company focused on maritime interdiction after riverine and jungle training in Mississippi.

Russia’s FSB has opened a criminal case against Ksenia Maximova, a Russian exile and Liberal Democrat councillor on Ealing Borough Council, accusing her of participation in an organisation Moscow designates as terrorist and placing her on federal and international wanted lists. The MoD published an award notice for RAF Waddington Airfield Operating Surfaces RIBA 5–6 construction, refurbishment and handover works under the AOS-PA programme, valued at about £53.3 million, to Lagan Construction Limited.
